Often, PTPTN will suggest you to convert to the ujrah scheme
There are two stages when you want to change to the ujrah scheme, namely:
Loan application again in the form of Ujrah Loan. Borrowers can visit any PTPTN counter nationwide for this purpose. New offer documents for exchange will be provided and must be returned before the expiry of the validity period which is within 14 days.
Sign the new loan document with the new loan amount and the new Repayment Schedule (JBB) as well.
Steps To Take:
Download the Information Update Form on the PTPTN official portal (http://www.ptptn.gov.my) or go to any PTPTN counter to pick up the form.
Send the Information Update Form to the PTPTN counter.
Borrowers will be given two sets of Ujrah offer documents. Each document must be stamped with a RM10 revenue stamp.
Return the complete documents at the PTPTN counter or post.
Refunds can be made according to the new Repayment Schedule (RB).
This process needs to be done because the two loans are under different principles i.e. conventional and syariah.
